Role-Play Information: Currently we have 4 Expanded Roleplays, run by the board staff:
Hoist the Colours is our pirate-based RP, very much in the style of Pirates of the Caribbean, but better. Much, much, better because you've got Maria as THE Captain Char (piratese lessons included at no extra charge) and Stark as the antagonist Admiral Samuels of the RBN. Maria is not only a great RPer but I haven't seen her run anything but awesome RPs and Stark well, speaks for himself, so any RP with the Maria vs. Stark in-character combo will definitely be worth your time to join.
Hotel California. Did I mention that Stark was also our survival-horror/horror movie connoisseur? If you're tired of the usual RP, the usual rules, the usual way of interacting with other characters, then Hotel California is something I'd recommend without hesitation. It's definitely NOT your usual RP. How many RPs out there do you see where your characters are actually in danger of dying and thats what makes the RP fun? Yea, ZERO. But you know what's the really scary part? Stark can actually pull an RP like this off. Yep, he's that talented of an admin and RPer. And believe me, you don't want your RP career to go on without joining at least one of his RPs.
The Passion Play is for all you super-hero RP affectionados out there. It's based on DC Comic's Batman and let me tell ya, no one beats Ms. Drama when it comes to writing antagonists. Did you know, that having good antagonists often makes or breaks an RP board? With Ms. Drama roleplaying the best of them, you won't have to worry about things getting boring for the superheroes. As a bonus, Stark has also picked up the Caped Crusader himself so with those two driving the plot, I can guarantee that any roleplay that comes out of that board shouldn't be missed.
Inheritance: Origins was designed for the beginning roleplayer. It’s based on Christopher Paolini’s Inheritance cycle (Eragon & Eldest) but you don’t need to have read the books in order to RP. It’s rather easy to get into and is purposely set in a timeframe that doesn’t require extensive knowledge of the events in the novels. If you’re new to messageboard roleplaying and need to advance your skills, this is place to do it. Not only will we show you the ropes in a fun, constructive manner but we’ll make you into an RPer any board admin would beg to have on their site!
Along with the 4 RPs above, two more are in the works. Letters from Middle-Earth is based on Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy and Winter Kings is a realistic medieval roleplay (aka, no elves, no magic, etc) full of partisan politics and court intrigue.
