Wouldn't it be ironic, that the two most feared solitary predators, the large cats and the birds of prey, are in turn preyed upon by a species made up of the DNA of both? The gryphon, the larger and dominant beast is the terror of the skies, the land and the water, fears nothing. But this majestic land is far from perfect... due to the past that haunts this generation.
Two hundred years ago five great prides entered the largest war the history had ever known. Years of fierce fighting left only four surviving prides . The survivers of Mount Cumulo, Sirus Moors, Axe Headlands and Midnight Canyon have formed a peace treaty, and even now the treaty has held through peaceful times and rough waters. Each pride has claimed their own territory, and are fiercely territorial, but no one wants to see the slaughter and bloodshed of old, the stories told to chicks are too horrible to bring about again.
Still, paranoia can get the best of us.
Mt. Cumulo, the tall, pale, aerial masters of the mountain are aloof in their winter wonderland.
Sirus Moors, where the longer-legged wonders roam in the endless plains.
Axe Headlands, backed up against the coast with plenty of water it is a perfect place for the water loving gryphons.
Midnight Canyon, A beautiful, vast area of desert, the place where the climbers make their homes in the well-protected rocks.
