Plot Line: In 1906, Gordon J. Jamison founded the Oak Haven Academy as a school for boys. The school was viewed as very prestigious, with excellent academics as well as the excellent social atmosphere it provided its students. In 1930, Jamison's daughter, Lillian VanAlbert, inherited the school and decided to make it open to girls as well as boys. The idea wasn't well-recieved, and the girls' side closed after only three years. However, VanAlbert passed the ownership of the school down to her daughter, making it known in her will that she wished for girls to be allowed into the school. In 1960, Caroline VanAlbert opened the school's doors to girls, and since then, both boys and girls have been welcomed. In 1977, there was a massive fire that burnt down the entire school while everyone was away for the summer. The school was closed the entire year of '77-'78, and when it reopened in September 1978, it was more magnificent and up-to-date than ever. In 1999, there was another renovation of the school, making it one of the most beautiful yet comfortable schools in the entire country.
The actual location of OHA is undisclosed to protect the privacy of its' students. Many are from wealthy backgrounds, although about 10% of the students are here on scholarships. The current Head of OHA is Dr. Silas VanAlbert, the son of Caroline VanAlbert, and the current owner of the school. Dr. VA, as his students refer to him, believes in enriching the atmosphere of the school socially. He believes that the school has reached its peak academically and wishes to develop his students' personalities as well as their minds.
OHA sits just outside of Oak Haven, a small little town with many conveniences catering to students. Every Saturday and Sunday, students are given free access to the town. There is a diner, a coffee shop, and even an underage dance club (no alcohol served!). Plans to enlarge the town are underway, with many students and townspeople supporting the idea of a small mall.
OHA is an idyllic boarding school, close to a beach and to the mountains. It is a beautiful place, making memories every student will treasure forever.
Activity: Very low...the activity just stopped, but I would like to get it back up and running.

Anything Else?: The pink skin is going down eventually, I promise. The board is for all skill levels of RPer, but mostly beginner/intermediate levels. More advanced RPers might get upset with some members who don't post as detailed of a character bio or as long of a reply. There isn't a 'plot' as of yet, but there will be eventually. Also, many of the characters are emo/scene, and I would like to encourage that, although any type of character is welcome.
Is my banner up? (Don’t lie): yup, in the footer
