Plotline:
Blame It On Me
Thousands of years ago, Vampires were the prey of mankind. Being as solitary as they were, they were easy targets for the hunters who lived to rid the world of these blood thirsty "Beasts", as they called them. Many years went past with the Vampires going instinct, until five friends decided to look for all remaining Vampires and unite them as one clan, soon to be known as Veuve Noire. Becoming stronger then those hunters, they increased their numbers and became almost invincible.
They continued living in seclusion, preferring to let the now weaker humans live in peace, not wanting to stoop so low as to hunt those who cannot protect themselves, but that didn't stop them from killing or enslaving those who still hunted them. Eventually some of them became power hungry, wanting all non-Vampires to be their slaves, and branched off to form a rebellion group called Valium. These rebels saw Veuve Noire as an obstacle, one that needed to be removed to succeed in their scheme.
Over the years, as Veuve Noire and Valium warred against each other, two new races became known to the world, Shapeshifters and Witches. Like the Vampires, they possessed abilities that no single human could ever match, but they were still not safe from all the fighting. Witches loaned out their skills to the other races only if it benefited themselves or their own race, including coming to the aid of another Witch even if they were their enemy. The Shapeshifters were only loyal to their blood kin, back-stabbing anyone else as they saw fit. Veeuve Noire wanted to treat these races just like the humans, though Valium became more determined in becoming the highest power.
Alomst eight hundred years ago, one lone Vampire got tired of all the fighting and decided to make her own group, one that united all races to co-exist in the world they share, to work together as one united clan. This clan came to be known as Insieme. Through the years she campaigned on all sides, trying to get them to join her cause. Some joined and others did not. With all the races either fighting, hiding, or plain ignorant of what was going on around them, she fought harder for what she believed in.
The fighting died down since Insieme came into existence, though it was never completely eliminated. This break soon came to be called The Calm. During this calm, Valium became stronger, not only in strength but also in intelligence. And now the war is starting to brew once again for a third time, with Valium being a stronger threat this time around with their new leader. Will Noire survive another war or will Valium succeed in coming out on top? Who knows, maybe the underdog, Insieme, will raise above the others.
You wonder how I know all this? I was there from the beginning of Veuve Noire, being the first turned from one of the five original leaders. I am Skylar Valkyrie, leader of Insieme. I've seen the pros and cons of both sides and chose a third side. So, what are you in this world and which side are you on?
